My hats off to Coach Mike Gundy for his recent rant about the media.

The one thing we have to remember about the media, whether it’s TV, Newspaper and for some of the Internet Portals, is that they receive their income from advertisers and their whole purpose is to put eyes on the advertisements nothing more.

And the sad fact is bad news or controversial news sells. The bad headlines attract more eyes then the good headlines and it always has.

I think the reason for this is that people like to compare their lives with the lives of others and when they see someone who is worse off then they are then they feel better about their live temporarily.
