I was reading earlier today about the Rutger’s coach has accepted Don Imus’ apology today, which I thought was good until I got a little further down into the article.

This is the quote that made me take caution to validity of this acceptance of the apology,

“We still find his statements to be unacceptable, and this is an experience that we will never forget.”

The unacceptable part I can handle but it’s “…we will never forget.” part that makes me uncomfortable.

The saying as I learned it was, “Forgive and forget.”

When you hold a memory of a bad situation it becomes an anchor that holds you back.

Bill Clinton made some very interesting thoughts on it and the one that stands out the most in my mind was “…there will be many black people praying for Don Imus tonight.”

Think about that for a second.

If you are praying, chances are pretty good that you are a Godly person, and most Godly people that I know forgive unconditionally. It’s been my study that God will be the final judge of our acts down here.

How can Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson call themselves Reverends when they are so quick to be the judge, jury and hangmen?
Don’t get me wrong, he certainly made an error in judgment when he said what he said, but it was tongue in cheek based on his personality and I’m sure their was no malice intended.

To be quit honest, I would have never known it if the trouble making media didn’t keep it alive all week. Their actions were divisive and irresponsible. But the advertisers loved it because they got a lot of people looking in on this unfortunate event.

It’s a shame!

Well I hope your over it because with this final post on it I’m over it.
