Today is the day… the BIG 40!
In one of my early entries, I said I didn’t feel all that different than I did at 20, but I was wrong.
I had a couple of days to reflect on this, and I do feel a little different. I’m a little nervous, being that I’m not even close to having achieved a lot of the goals I had set when I was 20.
One of the biggest lessons, I have learned by age 40 is that you need those around you, you can’t do it by yourself. Believe it or not I didn’t learn this until this year that just past. I got onto My Space and found a wonderful group of people at http://www.myspace.com/lifetosuccessrealestate . I hope you take a few minutes and visit this site it’s got some great people on there and some great information.
I also learned you can’t be afraid to take action. One of my favorite quotes is “You don’t have to get it right, you just have to get it going.” I forget who said this and it is brilliant. You can’t wait unitil everything is perfect before you start to take action. If you wait until it is perfect, you’ll never get anything started. If you visit my site, www.lifetosuccess.com , you will go to some links that are from when I just started working online, it has been changing constantly but some of the work is pretty lame but I did it anyways.
I also learned that you can only do the best you can with what you know and where you are at now. I think the key here is to try stay ahead of the curve, constantly looking at trends in the future so you can hedge the bet in your favor. Google, Yahoo, and MSN get millions and millions of searches everyday and they are constantly building trends that better serve information to the people that use these services. You can get this information and look at trends yourself to make better decisions.
I’m learning it was a lot easier to control my weight when I was 20. It doesn’t seem to come off as quickly as it use too, and it adds up quicker than it use too. I try to avoid those trips to McDonalds that I like a lot. I try to go to gym a little more frequently than I used to.
At this point in my life, I have a feeling that the best is yet to come. That I still have about 60 years to make great things happen. To help more people, see themselves a little differently.
I would also like to say thank you to those who have been with me for the last 5 years at www.lifetosuccess.com . It’s been your emails and support that have helped keep moving forward. Thank you.
Anyway, I only feel a little different and it’s not all that bad.
